Sidestage supported Red Bull’s VIP experience on Sydney Harbour by transmitting the official Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series Finals broadcast directly to their chartered vessel. With elite divers launching from towering platforms and the harbour as a backdrop, our role was to ensure guests on board experienced the action in real time with clear visuals and sound.
We deployed a variety of Hollyland Cosmo C1's to deliver uninterrupted, low-latency broadcast feeds from shore to the boat. Operating over water in open-air conditions meant reliability was critical, and our transmission gear maintained signal strength throughout the event.

At the heart of the visual setup was a Blackmagic G2 Studio 4K Camera, used for capturing stunning imagery of the DJ on the top deck, adding cinematic clarity to the VIP experience. Content was displayed across multiple screens, ensuring all guests had a front-row view of the action.
A multi-zone AV integration allowed us to route broadcast footage and onboard visuals to both levels of the vessel. This, combined with a distributed audio system, ensured that live commentary and event audio were clearly heard across the entire boat.
To enhance the environment, we added subtle lighting design, maintaining camera-friendly conditions and complementing the vibrant energy of the event. These enhancements helped create a polished, immersive setting for Red Bull’s VIP guests.

Delivering a high-quality viewing experience on water comes with unique challenges, from movement and lighting shifts to signal routing. Sidestage managed each aspect with precision, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience from start to finish.
Thanks to Red Bull for having us on board. Whether for land-based events or custom activations on the harbour, Sidestage delivers adaptable, high-performance production support wherever it’s needed.
